This notice explains what personal information Fieldmark collects through this website, why we collect it, where it is held, who can reach it, and what rights you have over it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Fieldmark (NZ) Ltd is the agency responsible for the personal information described here. Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 we are the agency that decides why and how your information is collected and used.

We collect personal information only when you choose to give it to us. If you complete an enquiry form on this site, we collect:
Our web server also keeps standard technical logs, which include the internet address the request came from, the page requested, the time, and the browser used. These are kept for security and troubleshooting.
This site does not currently set analytics or advertising cookies, and does not track you across other websites. If that changes we will update this notice and say so here before it takes effect.
We use the information you give us to respond to your enquiry, to prepare specifications, samples and quotations, and to carry on the business conversation you started. If you become a customer we use it to administer the order.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
If we send you commercial email, every message will identify who it is from and give you a way to stop receiving it. Ask us to stop and we will, without needing a reason. Requests are honoured promptly, and we will still reply to anything you ask us directly.
This website and its enquiry records are hosted on infrastructure operated on our behalf by Private Clubs Inc, trading as Private Club Marketing, on servers located in San Francisco, in the United States. Your enquiry is stored in a database area reserved for Fieldmark and kept separate from the records of other clients of that provider.
Traffic between your browser and this site is encrypted.
Sending information overseas. Because our provider holds the information in the United States, this is a cross-border disclosure under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. Our provider holds the information on Fieldmark's behalf. It uses the information only to run and support this website and Fieldmark's own systems, does not use it for its own purposes, and does not pass it to anyone else. If you would rather not have your information held outside New Zealand, contact us before sending an enquiry and we will tell you what we can do.
Access is limited to Fieldmark, and to the staff of our website provider who need it to run and support the site. Nobody else is given access unless the law requires it.
We keep enquiry records while there is an active or prospective business relationship, and for three years after our last contact with you. After that they are deleted. Where we are required by law to keep business or tax records for longer, we keep only what that requires.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. That includes encrypted transport, access controls, and separation of Fieldmark's records from those of other clients of our provider. No system is perfect, and we do not claim otherwise.
If a privacy breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and the people affected, as the Privacy Act 2020 requires.
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, and to ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Ask us and we will respond within 20 working days. There is no charge for a straightforward request.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information or your request, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Some US states, California among them, give residents rights to know what personal information a business holds, to have it deleted, and to opt out of its sale. Fieldmark does not sell personal information, and is unlikely to meet the size thresholds those laws apply to. Even so, if you are a US resident and want to know what we hold, want it corrected, or want it deleted, ask us and we will treat your request the same way we treat one made from New Zealand.
If you contact us from the UK or the European Economic Area, you may have additional rights under UK and EU data protection law, including rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction and objection. Ask us and we will deal with your request.
This site sells to architects, designers and building owners. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
For anything in this notice, including access, correction and deletion requests, write to haldane@fieldmark.co.nz or to the postal address above.
